Terms of Service

By creating an account or using Handoff ("the Service"), you agree to these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.

1. What Handoff Does

Handoff provides hosting for HTML pages, Markdown documents, and images. You upload files, and we give you a shareable URL. That's the core of the service.

2. Your Account

You are responsible for keeping your login credentials secure. You are responsible for all activity that occurs under your account. If you suspect unauthorized access, contact us immediately.

3. Acceptable Use

You may use Handoff to host legitimate content. You may not use the Service to host, distribute, or promote:

• Spam or bulk messaging — unsolicited commercial content, link farms, or SEO manipulation schemes
• Malware or hacking tools — viruses, trojans, phishing pages, exploit kits, or any content designed to compromise systems or steal credentials
• Child sexual abuse material (CSAM) — any content that sexually exploits or endangers minors, in any form
• Non-consensual intimate imagery — private sexual content shared without the subject's consent
• Harassment or threats — content targeting individuals with abuse, doxxing, intimidation, or incitement to violence
• Fraud or impersonation — fake login pages, scam sites, or content that impersonates another person or organization
• Illegal content — anything that violates applicable law, including but not limited to content that promotes terrorism, facilitates drug trafficking, or infringes on intellectual property rights

This is not an exhaustive list. We reserve the right to determine what constitutes a violation at our sole discretion.

4. Account Termination and Content Removal

We reserve the right to suspend or permanently terminate your account and remove any or all of your hosted files, without prior notice, if we determine that you have violated these Terms or that your content poses a risk to other users, the Service, or third parties.

We are not obligated to provide a warning before taking action. Repeated or severe violations will result in permanent removal.

We may also remove content or accounts in response to valid legal requests or to comply with applicable law.

5. Your Content

You retain ownership of the files you upload. By uploading content to Handoff, you grant us a limited license to store, serve, and display that content as necessary to provide the Service.

You are solely responsible for the content you upload. We do not pre-screen uploads, but we may review content that is flagged or reported.

6. Availability and Changes

Handoff is provided "as is." We do our best to keep the Service running, but we do not guarantee 100% uptime or uninterrupted access.

We may modify, suspend, or discontinue any part of the Service at any time. We may also update these Terms. Continued use of the Service after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.

7. Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Handoff and its operators shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages arising from your use of the Service, including but not limited to loss of data, loss of revenue, or interruption of service.
